Rapid chess sits between blitz and classical: games long enough to think, short enough that a whole tournament fits into a day. A place or event is listed here when a source names rapid as one of its formats, for example a rapid tournament, a rapid club evening or a rated rapid series.
Time controls differ from one organiser to the next and are not shown on our cards, so read the regulations on the organiser's page. Rated events may ask for a federation licence or a FIDE ID. “Not confirmed” means the newest rapid edition or session we could date is old or carries no date.
