Places to play a game of chess around Lisbon

A place is on this list when one of its sources says that someone from outside can come and play: a club night open to guests, a café with boards on the tables, a public chess table, a tournament that takes entries. Clubs that admit members only are kept on a separate list.

Before you go, open the card and look at two things: the date of the newest trace of chess, and the session times with their live page. Times change more often than places do. A line reading “not confirmed” means we found the place but no recent dated sign that games still run there; it does not say they stopped, only that no source we read shows it.

Marks: ✓ chess confirmed on that date · ? not confirmed, newest trace from that date · → with a date: announced for that date · → moved: chess moved elsewhere · × ended: the venue closed.
