Latest evidence

Chess-results.com lists 5 Portuguese-federation tournaments in 2025–2026, held between 2025-08-03 and 2025-08-31, with none scheduled after 2026-10-06. Five August 2025 editions of one-day open-air Opens (09:30-13:00) in Parque de Merendas do Jamor (Oeiras), Parede (Cascais), Mafra, Parque Vale do Silêncio and Parque da Quinta das Conchas (Lisboa), organiser AXPortugal; the viralagenda page for the Quinta das Conchas listing is titled 'GAMBITO PICNIC - Xadrez + Merendar + o que quiser...'. No 2026 edition appears in these records up to 2026-10-06, so this is a summer 2025 series. Editions held, each titled 'GAMBITO PICNIC - Open' (09h30/13h00): 2025-08-03, 2025-08-15, 2025-08-17, 2025-08-24 and 2025-08-31. Organiser and venue are taken from the chess-results search listing, not from the tournament page. secondary · [1]
