Chess groups, meetups and associations

Here are the groups, associations and regular meetups where people come together around chess, whether or not they have a room of their own. Some meet in a bar on a fixed evening, some move between venues, some organise events across the region.

Groups that move are the hardest to pin down, so check the live page linked in the sessions table before setting out; that is where an organiser posts the next date. A card marked “not confirmed” belongs to a group we could trace once but not recently. It may well still meet, and a message to the organiser is the quickest way to find out.

Marks: ✓ chess confirmed on that date · ? not confirmed, newest trace from that date · → with a date: announced for that date · → moved: chess moved elsewhere · × ended: the venue closed.
